Salmon fishing this summer.
Until Lake Ontario this past summer I really hadn't caught a big one salmon, this particular fish was caught right as we had decided to pull the lines and head to shore. A big storm was brewing and naturally I just have to fish till the last minute.

What was one of the slowest days of fishing I've ever had on this particular lake, turned out to be one of the most memorable in my life. Felt like I set the hook into a power wagon! Scored just shy of 17 pounds. Landan is looking forward to March as he may hold the new Ontario Burbot record

Last night I studied my backroads map for a couple hours deciding where to venture to. I then went out picking worms to prepare for todays early morning. The alarm was set at 6:00 am I loaded up the quad onto my trailer packed up some lunch and hit the road! I arrived to my destination at 9:30 where I then loaded up all my gear onto my atv and hit the trails! After quading on some rough terrain I bushwhacked a couple kilometers until I could see the lake below the 100 ft canyon ledge I was standing on. I then took the bush route along the edge of the canyon until I got to the lowest elevation where I could start fishing! 🎣 after casting a Mighty Mitch & Jungle Joe's Jigflies with a worm I had an Instant hit where I then reeled in my first splake of the day followed by a few more

Justina fell in love with the outdoors when she was young, but more recently in the last 4 years, have become more in touch with why nature and fishing is so important to her. This is her personal best rainbow. When she hooked into it, her eyes lit up like fireworks. she can't explain the joys fishing has brought to her life. Although she still has much to learn, nothing beats a screaming reel and that is why she will continue to grow with one of her favourite hobbies.

I’m a recreational angler and outdoor enthusiast from Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada.
My mind clears as I can hear waterfalls and streams running, leaves blowing in the breeze, and the hum of spruce bugs in the distance. Whether I’m hiking into a new puddle, fishing streamside or an enjoying an overnighter at the lake there’s no place else I’d rather be. There’s no better feeling then the sun beating down onto your back with a big smile on your face as your line tightens and you reel your fish up to the boat. You'll often find me targeting a new species, exploring new ground, or studying my backroads map book.

Justin Rose Never forget this day the morning was cold and super cloudy a grind to even get a bite. As soon as the sun poked through the wake bait worked its magic and I was fortunate enough to land this 4.52 large mouth and the 4.34 lb smally to start off my 19.72 lbs bag jumping from 27th to finish 8th on the last day!!!

Ben Sabourin Me and a buddy out for a few hour. Hit one spot and it was game on. Literally cast after cast was a fish either a 3.5- 5 lbs smallie and walleye no smaller the 18" one at 26" 7 cast in a row there was a fish on. Lightning bolts were coming down, we looked at each other and said let's keep fishing. The waves were getting bigger and bigger and lightning bolts were hitting the earth and storm was getting closer. We both looked at each other again and said let's bail. Was too late at this point. Got my boat close to shore, beached it on the sand bank and ran into his house. Left the boat there over night and my truck and trailer at the boat launch. He drove me home and picked me up in the am. I have been in Tstorms before but nothing like this. Glad to be alive.

I worked as a fishing/hunting guide a few summers ago up at Smoothrock lake. I also took care of 2 outpost camps, one at Funger Lake, and the other one at Almos Bay. I took the job, as I love both fishing and hunting. I grew up fishing and hunting and have been fishing since I was about 5. I've been hunting, on my own, for 30 years. I really enjoyed being a fishing/hunting guide. While I was a hunting guide, all my groups had a chance to see moose, although the were never the right ones, or they had the chance to hear me calling bull moose in. I had a father and son have the chance to hear a bull moose start coming into my call. As we got ready for the bull to come out, another cow in the area called out and the bull ended up heading towards her instead. My last group of hunters experienced a bunch of moose, 2 cows, a calf, 4 bulls. All the Bulls were called out. 2 were young ones. One was called out just before heading back to camp. The following day I had a nice bull come to my call, but would not come out of the tree line. Later that day I had another nice bull come to my call, where my client was able to get a shot off. We waited in anticipation for a little while. When we went looking for the moose it took about 10 mins and I was able to yell out "moose down", my client was a very happy camper with his first moose ever.
